DOUG BOLES
President; Indianapolis Motor speedway
“The relationship started here at the Speedway and RTE really has focused on our event day experience for our customers. They really pay attention to the way we are delivering our audio content, whether that’s sitting in the grandstand with music playing in the background or trying to deliver interviews and content from drivers during practice. On race days, RTE really help us deliver that “wow” factor just like a show as we go through the pre-race ceremony.
"They are an extension of our brand."
“RTE are always looking for better quality, staying up on new technologies so we are able to deliver our content in the most efficient way possible. They also put in a huge amount of research and development time into maximizing the customer experience. That means wondering throughout the facility, sitting in different seats and making sure the content is getting delivered in the right way throughout our massive 230,000 plus seat facility. It’s a different experience from sitting in turn 3 to that of turn 1 from a visual standpoint, but for RTE, they are working to ensure that it’s the same high-quality audio experience from wherever you sit.
“RTE have an outstanding ability to address problems and issues that may arise on the fly. As the facility is so big, helping us solve issues as they arise is so crucial as that keeps us up and running from a fans experience point of view.”

SERVICES PROVIDED
1
Technical production of event ceremonies, including the famed Indy 500 pre-race.
2
Operation and management of the world’s largest public address system.

DAN SKIVER
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS; IMS
“It’s really their people that make the difference. They really help us maintain a top-level audio system, which is very difficult for an event like ours and a stadium like ours. You are talking about an event (Indy 500) that is extremely loud in addition to the size of the facility, so communicating with fans and working to enhance their experience is crucial.
"Quality."
“We do enjoy a great relationship with RTE that is over 20 years with Dave, and this complements the quality of the audio system and their services that they bring. Dave is on the ground and you are easily able to get a hold of him in the moment, but it’s really his staff that are in place as they are the ones managing the day-to-day. However, I know that Dave has always been there for us and he cares for us, and it really is a good relationship that we all enjoy.”

JOHNNY UNSER
RACE DIRECTOR; ROAD TO INDY
“Being the race director for the Indy Pro 2000 Series, and with some of the impacts that COVID has had with the series, we found ourselves operating on a standalone basis for select events. For those events, RaceTrack Engineering has been critical in supplying us replay capabilities and the personnel to handle it. It's been great, and we couldn’t officiate the races to the level we can without them.
“Getting the camera placement where we need it is crucial, and RTE works very closely with us to position those cameras. What's great is they have the ability to work on the fly and be adaptable to our needs, while being very easy to work with in the process. Their personnel all work hard, and they have good operators to run the system so we can find a replay quickly and make decisions quickly.
"Progressive"
“Dave and I are also friends, so we're able to call it how it is and if something's going great we tell him, if there's something we don't like we're not afraid to tell him. The good thing is he's willing to do whatever it is that we ask, and he will bend over backwards to do it. That's what's great about RTE.”

SERVICES PROVIDED
1
Race control support for all three Road to Indy series: USF2000, Indy Pro 2000 and Indy Lights.
2
Management, operation and set-up of race control HD replay system.
JP MANTEROLA
FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR; ROAD TO INDY TV LIVE!
“It’s a must-have service, because we need to be able to show our fans and followers what’s happening on track through our Road to Indy TV platform. They have a system in place that is straightforward, easy to use, quick, and it gets the job done.
"Efficiency."
“With the understanding Dave has of the racing industry, I’ve found it’s important to listen to his input as he understands the sport from so many different perspectives. That allows us to take the best direction with our product every single time. When they tell you ‘this is going to happen’, it happens. It’s efficient. They don’t waste time; they don’t waste money. It’s very efficient from every way you consider it.”

SERVICES PROVIDED
1
Installation, operation and management of HD camera system that's optimized for race control and live streaming purposes.
SCOTT GOODYEAR
FORMER INDYCAR DRIVER aND F3; FR RACE DIRECTOR
“Knowing what RTE does and being able to provide us with all those eyes on the circuit, especially for our F4 class which is an entry level series, is crucial as it gives us the immediate information to be able to understand how serious a situation is, and therefore, how we should react.
"The best in the business."
“Having been in television for 17 years, and before that as a driver, you come to find out that you are spoiled by having all of the angles available to you at any time! But with RTE, I am extremely comfortable with their knowledge and their understanding of where to place all of the cameras around the racetrack. I don’t even need to be there to explain or ask them to place cameras in certain positions. With their wealth of knowledge and experience, I can walk into race control knowing that the system is always set-up as you would want it. I can’t think of one time that I have needed to ask them to move a camera. That’s a very comforting factor.”

SERVICES PROVIDED
1
Race control support for junior level events, including F4 US Championship and Formula Regional Americas.
2
Management, operation and set-up of race control HD replay system.
BRIAN TILL
TV ANALYST, SRO, F3; FR RACE OFFICIAL
“Their technology has allowed our eyes to see considerably further around the racetrack in areas that we weren’t able to see before. Not only does that allow us to efficiently officiate the event, but most importantly, it allows us to run a safer motorsport event.
"Vision, implementation and professionalism."
“You might think technology is what defines them, but it’s the trust factor that allows them to produce and present the latest technology to you, allowing you to do your job to a higher level. They have a unique ability to not only see the vision, but to make the vision a reality.
“I’ve happened to work with a number of RTE staff members on the controls, and what’s impressive is the level of consistency they produce, along with the passion that they all possess. They are remarkably consistent, and their focus on quality and professionalism is very impressive.”

SERVICES PROVIDED
1
Race control support for a number of F3/Formula Regional events and SRO Championship events.
2
Management, operation and set-up of race control HD replay system.
3
Operation and management of the world’s largest public address system.
AARON WEISS
PRESIDENT; CONCOURS CLUB MIAMI
“We are developing a private motorsport country club in Miami. We hired RTE first as a consultant, and now longer term, as an operational partner. We tasked them with designing, building, implementing and continuously operating and developing all of our track control systems. The implementation of this system has given me operational agility that I’ve only ever dreamed of running at other motorsport facilities."
"Innovative and reliable."
"Arguably a track’s most important safety role is conducted by corner workers, and RTE have found a way to digitize that. Now, I don’t have to call 20 corner workers to come in to open the track. I can now open it with 4 to 5 guys that I have on my full-time staff. That gives us the agility that we want in the motorsport country club business."
“RTE don’t let us down. We’ve had some operational and equipment challenges to overcome, but they have never not solved a problem. If Dave says you are going to be set, I am done thinking about it. I know it will be up and running.”
SERVICES PROVIDED
1
Highly advanced race control room that brings increased safety levels and Driver Development Technologies.
2

4
Creates cost savings and an “on-demand” service for customers.

“Now more so than ever, it’s not just a race anymore. We have to put on an event that hits all the senses. We have to entertain. RTE are always trying to push the envelope and bring the latest and greatest to this industry, whether it’s product or knowledge.
"Innovative."
”As a result, we have been able to improve our offerings when it comes to audiovisual categories. Our venue is very unique, and it therefore presents a lot of challenges from an audio perspective thanks to the layout. RTE know everything there is to know about our facility, and that has such a positive impact for us in terms of how we operate and the experience we create for our fans.”
